I found a problem with a series recording also. In the guide it had a check mark to record, but in the DVR Scheduled Recordings list, it wasn't there. I tried to delete the series from the guide and it didn't work. I deleted it from the DVR, but then when I went back into the guide to reschedule it, it still had the check mark to record. I had to go to a future airing to schedule it and that seems to have fixed it (hopefully)

jimboe mine had a similar unclean IMG update. The boxes rebooted and came back but there is no guide or no response from the remote except when changing channel manually. I can change the channel but the numbers does not show in the screen. Rebooting the router fix it so it seems when the boxes were upgraded it cannot get an IP from the router. Somehow there is a disconnect between the router and the boxes that it cannot recover on its own.

I am still having issues with my 7232 freezing and recordings that last for only seconds. I found that the freezing happens when I am recording a program, and the channel cuts to a local ad. Doesn't do it with network ads, only locally injected ads.

I can fix the freezing by going down a channel and then back to the original. But the recording never starts again. The picture freezes, the screen goes to black.

Frustrating.

I finally found a new feature in 1.9.4 -- when you create a series recording, there is a new "FORMAT" option which allows you to pick from "HD Only" "SD Only" or "HD and SD"....

I think that problem got worse. The show I'm watching actually freezes for about 5 seconds and I lose everything that was said if a program starts to record.

Finally received 1.9.4 in VHO11.

Anyone having an issue where you have a series marked as "first run only" and it's recording every showing of it? And every showing is NOT marked new in the guide. I even deleted the series recording and set it back up.

Also some shows in the guide no longer list the name of the episode as they used to. Just generic descriptions.

If you want to test it out the show in question was Ultimate Spider man on disney xd (my 10 year old son loves that show)

I'm seeing the same behavior trying to record The Chase on GSN. I get the rebroadcasts even though I set it to first run only and only the first showing shows as new in the guide.

I set Ultimate Spider man on disney xd "First Run Only" and it does not record every episode. It does not record any as there are no "new" episodes. Only when I set it to "First Run and Repeats" does it record every episode.

I notice that the description is generic for every airing (that is bad) and the air date for all of them is 4/1/12.

When set to "First Run and Repeats" the DVR should only record one episode as the Air Date is the same for all episodes airing. So I agree there is a logic issue with the DVR since the switch from FYI to TMS. But not as you reported.

wow... as usual, those of us with the cisco boxes are always wayyy behind with IMG updates. my two cisco boxes in vho8 just finally updated to 1.9.4 yesterday.

can anyone "in the know" tell me why there's always such a delay? i can't get moto boxes. both techs and reps always tell me that they only give out cisco stbs in my area. i have the non-dvr boxes, and i think they stink. laggier and laggier with every update. :/

From what I can tell, it's because Cisco boxes are a mess to get stuff running and stable on them. This is the second or third IMG release that was supposed to include the firmware fix for the intermittent black screen issue and some other freezing issues. We'll see if it actually works this time.....
