Definition of Patent Troll
I think their is a big difference between a patent troll and companies like Microsoft and Apple. At least they produce something. Patent trolls, also defined as "non-practicing entities", produce absolutely nothing and simply acquire patents in order to initiate lawsuits. A nice "fix" to the patent system would be that if a patent is not implemented in some way by the holder or company that has bought it within five years of issuance, it is considered abandoned. Otherwise, we will continue to have nonsense patents issued and used for ransom.
I support the right to keep and arm bears.
