Interesting because of a case before the Supreme Court
I heard yesterday the USSC is hearing a case about the patent on the Breast cancer gene. Because the company that holds the patent, makes the tests for the gene. And they charge a lot of money for that test.
So women that lack the money can't afford to get the test done, at least not until they get diagnosed with Breast/ovarian cancer.
So I think this is more then just Apple, Microsoft, and the other usual suspects.
Is a person a failure for doing nothing? Or is he a failure for trying, and not succeeding at what he is attempting to do? What did you fail at today?.

The case you are talking about is actually a different issue. Myriad is not trolling. They actually produce a product on the patents as issue.
The question is whether they can patent naturally occurring DNA sequences that have been isolated from the complete DNA strand.
