Tim Bosma's case

Timing of suspect Dellen Millard’s real estate deals called into question

The lawyer for murder suspect Dellen Millard says there isn’t “anything untoward” about bizarre real estate transactions his client made in the wake of his arrest in the death of Tim Bosma.

But several experts with experience is real estate and tax law told the Toronto Star the timing is “beyond smelly” and pose serious legal questions.

Tim Bosma's accused killer tried to arrange 3rd test drive

Hamilton police confirm a third man was contacted for a test drive of a truck he was selling with the same cellphone that was used to call Tim Bosma the day before he died.

“There was a third test drive initiated by [Dellen] Millard,” said Sgt. Debbie McGreal, spokesperson for Hamilton police.

yet kijijiji said that no contact was made through the ad being on their site...is it possible it was on auto-trader millard and company got their phone numbers?

Kijiji will only know if an Ad was answered if the person used the email contact form. As there was possibly a phone number on the Ad Kijiji would have no idea how many people used this number to contact someone.

It was reported that there was no contact info on the Bosma Kijiji add.

there must have been some sort of contact info, otherwise how would any interested party offer to buy/see it?

Re: Tim Bosma's case

Kijiji has a form that you complete to initiate contact. It was reported that there had been no inquiries via this form and no contact info in the add.
Regardless, the point is moot, kijiji or autotrader, neither protects you from this kind of evil. Had the contact been made via the form the result would still be the same.
BTW would someone please fix the spelling of Bosma's name in the title of this thread. Thanks.

some say the engine of these trucks is best diesel engine in the world, and Detective Kevin Stanley, who works on the force's auto squad and is assisting with the homicide investigation, said there is nothing special about the Dodge Ram.

Re: Tim Bosna's case

right!........maybe it was from auto-trade then......here is what Kijiji had to say on the matter

We confirmed to the police that the ad posted by Mr. Bosma on Kijiji did not feature personal contact information, nor did it receive any replies, which determines the incident did not occur as result of his ad
posting on Kijiji, the company stated.

If a seller on Kijiji does not display contact info, buyers can reach them via Kijiji itself. The company said no one tried to contact Bosma through its service.

"I treat trials like wars. I've been emulating Napoleon since I was 16 because he came from nothing and became one of the great generals."

Paradkar's calculated strategy in the Millard case includes building a "war room" to mobilize for the trial, including another lawyer, a collection of expert investigators and witnesses and a handful of law students.

"I like trial work more than plea bargaining people," he says. "The evidence is the evidence. It's what behind it that makes the case."

Tim Bosma's remains were returned to his family last week and, more than a month after he went missing and was found dead at a farm near Waterloo, he was buried Monday at a Hamilton cemetery.

"It was just a box. A small, tiny box. Just a little …" said a teary Sharlene Bosma, unable to finish the sentence, but making the shape of a box with her hands.

yes, update sounds better than the globe and mail misleading, "chilling new details" headline.

Dellen Millard's mother sells family home for $1.2 million

six weeks after Dellen was charged with Bosma's murder he transferred 3 properties for $1.00 each to his mother...she sold the family home for $1.2 million on july 4th...the condo is for sale as well...

so was his reason for transferring these properties to protect himself against civil suit by Bosma's family, or was it money to pay his legal defense?...

Three bucks isn't going to pay for a lawyer, of course he is shuffling assets.

jaberi

right, but the proceeds of the sold properties will....why do you think he is shuffling his assets?....the transfer of the properties, and now the sale is bizarre for a guy who says he is innocent.

pssst...jail is full of people claiming they are innocent.

Nope, even if he was completely innocent and beat the criminal case, he could lose a civil case. By divesting himself of assets he blocks Tim's family from getting a dime. Furthermore he, in all likelihood, is the heir to his mothers estate, so he will get it back (or a portion) in time and Tim's family still gets nothing.

So it is a win-win for him, and protects him if he was innocent or guilty from going broke.

ok....that's if Bosma's family launches a civil suit against him though....

I thought maybe there was a law that stops someone charged of a criminal offence to transfer assets. It maybe to avoid paying in a civil suit from victims family. The family gets hurt twice. Sad to say.

not sure, on your question... but OPP added 2 other cases to the joint probe investigation, his alleged girlfriend babcock, and his father wayne.
