2Wire 2701HG-B Port Forwarding... Need help.

I am trying to view my surveillance DVR remotely, I was able to open 1 port, but now it seems that port 80 WILL NOT open at all. I have tried both TCP and UDP. Currently I have tried both Static and Dynamic IPs... any suggestions? I am obviously new to this so forgive me if this seems easy to anyone else.

Will the surveillance dvr allow you to change it's port?
You should have a look at the detailed log or event log for messages about the ports

yes, I have tried 80, 81, 82. 85, 777, 4444 and 8080... AT&T even tried... I was on the phone with them for over an hour. I have tried (on the dvr) the Dynamic IP, and Static, would ADSL work, it asks for a ID and password... what is that for?

thanks for your reply

The dvr needs a private static ip address

The 2wire is a adsl modem that has a pppoe client
