I hope this forum isn't only for technology discussions and the like. I'm really hoping that it's open for a wide range of different topics.
So first off, I live in South Eastern Michigan. And the last 3 or 4 weeks, me and my family have been concerned with our new guest living on the property. We discovered that we have a new snake friend, about ~4-4.5ft in length, that has made itself right at home underneath one of our sidewalks in our backyard.
After doing some research we've learned that it's a Fox snake(»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_snake
). A Fox snake is not poisonous and it eats small rodents like mice, rats, and sometimes even rabbits.
What I really want to know though is... could this snake kill a small dog? We had a 5 year old, male Shiatsu suddenly pass away on us about a month 1/2 ago. About a week or so later we found the snake. The sudden sickness and then death 2 days later came out of nowhere and blind sided the whole family. There was no explanation at all and no rhyme or reason for why he would suddenly die. Nobody knows what was the real culprit that would cause that to happen.
My wife thinks it was the snake but I'm not so sure. Could a fox snake really kill a small dog??
I'll write up a far more detailed account of what happened in it's entirety later tonight for anyone that's curious to know the terrible shit my family and I went through losing our dog gradually over the course of a weekend.
