Receive The West Coast Feeds For Free But Act Before July 31

I HAVE SOME VERY GOOD NEWS BUT BE SURE TO ACT ON THIS INFO BY JULY 31ST OR YOU WILL LOSE OUT!!!!

Today I received an automated phone call from Cogeco that told me if I called 1-855-318-2082 and asked that they would input a code so I could continue to receive the west coast feeds that are going to become a theme pack after June 18th for FREE!!

I just called and they did exactly what the automated message said they would do and now I won't lose my West Coast feeds come June the 18th. The only thing I was told was you need to be an existing Cogeco customer and that if you move you will no longer be eligible to receive the promotion.

I guess they must have received a lot of complaints about this issue and this must be there solution to the problem.

I wasn't sure if I should have posted to the other thread that I created but I though this issue deserved a new thread all on it's own.

So Hurry up and call so you can continue to receive your west coast feeds for FREE!!

Called the regular 1800 number as I didn't trust the robo-voicemail. Apparently those that can get channels 712 to 715 will keep those west coast channels. Channels 231 to 235 will disappear unless you purchase a $10 theme pack.

Even if you receive channels 712 to 715 if you don't call and ask them to input that code then come June 18th you will lose the channels and after July 31st if you want haven't called you will then have to purchase the theme pack if you want the West Coast Feeds.

As far as the SD channels go well I never watch SD anyways so I could care less if Cogeco wants to charge for them.

Channels 712 to 715 are the eastern feeds (Detroit). I think you mean channels 717 to 720.

My mother-in-law called that number, explained she didn't want to lose her west coast feeds and they acted like they had no idea what she was talking about, that the feeds weren't going anywhere and that she was smoking some sort of crack for thinking anything different.

She should phone back and ask to speak with a supervisor.... they should know what's going on. If not tell her to ask about the "Time Shift Theme Pack".

I called Cogeco on Thursday, July 4, just talked to the rep that took the call. Initially she went through the spiel that the same programs are on the east coast as the west coast. After I explained that sometimes, especially for NFL and NCAA games, the west coast feeds have a different game on. With that, she was okay with it. She explained that on the services/billing, it will show I have the Time Shift Theme package, but it will be at no cost.

Thanks to Hamilton1 for his initial post on this thread.

Yup...made the call...got the stations added but asked for how long I would get them for free?

About 1 year i was told till that will cost like $10 for that bundle!!!!

Geez...has Cogeco NOT learned anything?

I asked when I called, and was told there wasn't a time limit.

I just called too, and they didn't mention a time limit but added the NBC, ABC and FOX feeds

FYI....I did this and you can see same in early July...have enjoyed these west channels...

But we just moved to a new location still in Waterdown about 1 mile away...and lost same.

Cogeco says that any of us who "took" this offer can NOT move and expect to continue this deal...

THAT really sucks. Could someone from Cogeco pls respond with WHY you can't do that for us ???
