Another one that just popped up: »Review of HughesNet Satellite Broadband

It has different ways to set it up to prevent spam written in the first place. May not work without a registration and I know registration was declined before but what about a simple one simply to place a review. It just seems like that kind of spam should be stopped before it gets posted.

Well, such system does not seem to be employed on this site and perhaps it is time to consider using such a system if not already in place. Two more that popped up today, seems like we are playing whack a mole:

The spam reviews and FAQ entries which are getting through and people are reporting are blatant merchandise spam for the most part --- watches, dresses, etc.

The flurry of Electronicbox reviews came after an email from Electronicbox to their customers asking them to post their reviews here, good or bad. »Anyone else curious about the flurry of Ebox reviews?

There doesn't seem to be any reward/punishment system in place by Electronicbox to manipulate the review contents. I don't see any evidence at all that they're spam. The writing varies, the ratings vary, etc. The one you linked is just short.

A lot of the reviews I have already posted to this thread have been ratings of 0% with links to sites selling fake rolex watches, drugs, fake designer clothing, etc.

I have changed the system to never auto-approve emailed in reviews even if they don't have any spam regular expression matches.

I checked and there is no evidence it is a spam review as the IP was consistent with his posts all through 2012.
