Clear is a RIPOFF. Looking for internet service: Beware

Depends on your area. Has served me well 3+ years uptime low side 99& good speeds 95% of the time here.

Agree 100% with Skipdawg.
I have been with Clear for over two years. Works great for me at a low cost.
But I know many in my area that have experienced problems with low speeds because of overloaded towers.

I have been with Clear for almost 3 years. I have had a couple of issues, but for the most part, my service has been rock solid with great speeds I average over 12 Mb/s download and @ .95 upload. They exceeded my expectations. Not everyone has those results. If the area you are in is oversold, your speeds will be slower. Only so much data can flow through the pipe at a time. If you have the ability to go to a fixed line, definitely choose that option. Not all of us have that luxury.

If you are off in the boonies on a lightly loaded tower you will be fine. If you are in a metropolitan area it all depends on cell loading/distance to cell etc. and performance can vary day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute.
Give it a try for 2 weeks and decide.
Mine worked great for 12 month but at certain times of the day it's become less than stellar. Clear says it's due to too many users on the cell.
