My Zoom 5341J will not sync up DS Light Blinking
Could it be a defective Zoom. Leased modem works.
Did you call TWC to have them change the MAC address to the new modem?
If you don't do that it won't work.
I tried to activate it and they said they can not see it. Should I just post in the time warner cable direct forum to see if they can activate that modem

I went to Best Buy tonight to exchange the Zoom 5341J for another Zoom 5341J. The Device connected to Time Warner Cable CMTS. The DS Light turned solid blue from blinking green and the US Light turned to solid green from blinking green. It redirected me to a Time Warner Cable page giving me information on how to activate the modem. I called the number they were able to see the modem and activate it. It took forever to get to the right department though. Apparently their is a special department who has to do the activation of customer owned modems I was told by the representative.
