If you have the time, why not put a tablet in the console? Then just feed it from your phone and you're set.

What's it going to be driving? A good head unit is limited by the speakers and the configuration..

I have a 2011 Camaro. I took out the factory radio and installed this setup. A JL XD400x4 amp, 6.5 Infinity Kappa speakers in the front and 6x9 Infinity kappa in the rear. J did have a Pioneer AVIC Z140BH but was wanting a Kenwood. I did not like the bluetooth plus the map unit on it.

Config is ok, not amazing.. an LFE channel wouldn't hurt..

But, the head unit is pretty feature rich.. Even for the services that don't require subscription. Can do without live traffic even in ATL, and I'm probably killing my sat radio..

Takes up space a Camaro can't afford to lose though.

Audio trying to fill a typical sedan/coupe doesn't need a lot a space, even for the LFE..

I have yet to see a sub that dosen't significantly eat into trunk space, which is why I passed on it as an (after market) option in my Juke.

If it's a big box in the trunk, it's not LFE, it's bass.. Distorted, window shaking, sounds like ass, bass.. "Bumping' in my Trunk" as the offspring says..

Don't need that to sound good..

Really, depending on genre, you could get by with a good pair of two or three way speakers. LFE isn't always necessary, depending on the size of the car and treatments.

I'd check other sites before purchasing to see if you can save money.
I just bought a JVC KW-HDR81BT and I saved about $30 getting the radio, hardness, and dash kit from amazon w/ prime vs buying from crutchfield.

I agree.. And that's somewhat my point..

Getting a good 5 channel audio system doesn't require a lot of space.
