Legendary Quest Line

How far along are you? Anyone have the cloak yet? I'm still collecting the Secrets of the Empire tokens on my farthest advanced toon. What else is there before getting the cloak.

So far, iirc, it seems the quest line has been:

- Collect 10 sigils of power and 10 sigils of wisdom
- Get some rep with Black Prince
- Get 3,000 VP
- Get some more rep with Black Prince
- Do two BGs
- Kill a faction leader in the Shieldwall area
- Get 20 Secret of Empire tokens and 40 trillium bars
- ???
- ???
- Get mega ilvl 600 cloak

Thanks for posting Immer. I'm trying to reconcile which quests have what requirements (and filter out all the noise quests (i.e. sit and listen to Wrathions tale)).

So tying our two posts together, it seems like the ones that take a concerted effort are:

• The Strength of One's Foes*; - Believe this is the 20 sigils
• Trial of the Black Prince**; - This is Black Prince rep
• Fear Itself*; - This was the eye of chimarea or whatever that you needed to kill Sha of Fear for (which I had forgotten about.)
• A Test of Valor (Alliance / Horde); - 3,000 vp
• The Lion Roars (Alliance) / Glory to the Horde; - BGs
• A Change of Command (Alliance / Horde); - Down Faction leader
• Secrets of the First Empire*; - 20 Sec. of Emp. tokens + 40 trillium bars

And then after that I don't know which of the following are noise vs concerted effort to meet requirements or what the requirements are. The Thunder Forge one I know people have talked about on the forums here and it sounds like it can be difficult. And I think Spirt of Storm Lord requires you to kill Nalak.

I'm about 2,100/3,000 of the way on the Valor quest. Already exalted with Black Prince, so the next step will be the two BG's, which will be simple. Will need to group up for the faction leader kill... then it looks like I'll be grinding ToT until my eyes bleed.

Already have cloak on 2 Different toons . My BM Monk and My mage. I have the meta gem on my Boomkin as well.

I got behind early on when I got bored with LFR MSV/HOF and TOES without getting all the sigils. By the time I got them, 5.1 was in full swing and I was late to the 6k VP party, and didn't max them every week as again, bored of the end game and wanted to level alts. I was then back on track, until I tried to do Change of Command on a dead server and failed. It wasn't until I discovered oqueue that I was able to do it and get back to the questline. Sadly this meant I was still miles behind, and even now am only really 60% through the 5.2 bit, and the only reason I have to run ToT in LFR is these tomes.

I so want to finish this part before 5.4

Still collecting sigils, up to 19 sigils of wisdom and 6 of power on my shaman. That toon is revered with him though.

Yeah, I astonishingly got 2 last week, so I am up to 8 now. The drop rate on these is just stupidly low. At least Lei Shen drops one every time now.

Is this Legendary quest thing mandatory to progress your toon?

nope. My main only has the first gem in an LFR weapon. My alts don't even have their Sigils of Power yet.

I'm at 6/12 on Titan Runestones for Echoes of the Titans after getting three last week. I'd really like to be done with that part in the next 2-3 weeks, but I'm not sure how likely that is.

*cough* depends on who you ask. Some guilds won't consider you if you don't have your meta atm.

@Vince - That is amazing that you have completed the quest line on two toons already. Do you do LFRs at all or are you able to farm them through your Normal and Heroic raids? I suppose theoretically if you are raiding heroics, you have the opportunity to collect 3x the mats each week vs someone who only does LFR.

@Cat - I got behind for the same reasons. I'm so sick to death of running LFRs. People complained about dailies but you could have dailies completed in the time it takes just to queue for one friggin LFR. Last night I went home with the hope of running the ToT LFRs on my two priests. I'm thinking healer queues, 6 hours of play time 5p-11p), should be able to do that. As it turns out I was only able to do it on one of the Priests and it was absolutely torturous and I didn't get done until almost midnight. (And just the fact that I realize I devoted six hours of my day to the game like that makes me sick to my stomach. I need to regain a life someday).

I think I have 2 or 3 titan runestones.

Getting to 12 is gonna be a longer grind for me, since I just can't bring myself to run both 3rd and 4th wing for a shot at the stones. I kill Lei Shen for my guaranteed drop then I'm done for the week.

Yes the legendary quest chain is required if you plan on raiding. And if you are raiding then there is no issue, you will complete all the quests anyway. The meta gem alone is worth 10k-30k DPS depending on your class. The cloak will boost you 6 ilvls by itself. Its a huge upgrade. Not to mention the real legendary that you will get next patch.

Done stones and sigils only drop 1st time through like gear? I'd imagine so but guess I've never put it to the test.

Ya I've never seen a rune drop a 2nd time and I killed lie shen 3 times last lockout (burned a mogu rune each time and still no trinket) (so 4 chances at loot and still nadda)

but I'd imagine that you can't do the quest to loot an item off lei shen after the 1st time of the week, maybe you can but that's why I'll do #3 before #4 next week.

I heard they nerfed it, can basically 2 man it.
