you ask for 4 sec till a hard nuke hits and you have 4 sec till a hard nuke hits.

well... I guess I've just been looking at everything the wrong way, then.

The tank isn't taunting on the pull, right? ;|

Nope no taunt to start. However a tank (melee) has to be in enough range to use his major attacks before a range unleashes fury.

Even after the pull if you are on the threat meter at 108% then you are going to pull off during a tank swap or crit goes thru. Also, when you maintain 130% threat for the first 20% of the boss there is going to be issues. Even though you are not blowing your high damage spells, you are casting smaller ones before tanks are in range and been able to use one or two GCD. The smaller ones are also building threat granted slightly lower.

One other things is some of the off tanks we run with our 30-40 ilevels behind and therefore build threat slightly slower than burst dps at the beginning .

Omen is working correctly. It turns grey if the fixates on someone else, or if you use Ice block or any other threat dumping spells.

Nope doesn't turn grey on ice block I can tell you that.

Ice block does not dump threat it just makes you invulnerable to most things (the maze is not one of those things)

Invisibility is a threat dump, it wipes all threat after 2 sec.
How many times have I had to say this, if I ice block its still dependent on someone to taunt or pull the mob, otherwise the boss will insta kill me when it wears off (I've had bosses clawing at the block just waiting for it)

interesting choice of words there...

here's how it should go....

tank counts down, 3, 2, 1
tank pulls boss into position, should have a decent amount of threat
(3 seconds after 1 was said) begin normal dps rotation

some bosses can much harder right away if not positioned properly, best bet is to wait the time to ensure maximum positioning

And not I'm ilvl 528 equiped so the tank might have more work now.

Oh and just about halfway though the FL cinders quest now

BTW 10 people isn't enough to get scorp form on stanghelm, and then had a few drop so had to drop to 10man for that boss.

Likely have to do rag on 10heroic, as I doubt I'll get enough interest to get 10 peeps for 25 reg. (and no way would we get enough to do 25 heroic)

Don't be too hard on Bubbles. It *was* the 4th of July after all. Likely friends or family showed up or he was just too exhausted after a long day. Or something like that.

Also note that Monalee was getting upset she couldn't keep the DK alive and then I pointed out he was only 85 and just wearing quest/dungeon gear.

I had fun on the run though. I have only gone that far one other time in FL and still have yet to kill Rag

I want to try Rag 25 tonight, but um for rag I think we'll need more people (like how staghelm needed more to go scorp form)

without more on rag the fire ele's might get to the hammer

If bubbles is on next Wednesday then we'll likely do FL10-H, its easier to get interest for heroic, but I'm not about to lead a heroic

Other than feeling like an utter failure as a raidlead it went well

Carpie did a great job directing the steering, and Raven was great at doing burst dps to steer. (carpie was on his pali tanking and as prot wasn't able to do enough burst dps to steer, so he gathered adds and directed the steering)

After the raid several that hung around went and killed halfus and raven got the tmog staff she wanted. (It was a nice feeling hearing her so happy about the staff)

I feel that it was good of you to be humble enough to ask for help and advice on certain mechanics. Not a failure in my book.

She was extremely excited about it.

I know on the attempt we got it, if he was headed towards the lava I was switching to help her make him turn hard the way we needed him to go then switched back to the adds.

Halfus was fun as my first time tanking him since cata. First time ever on a pally. My DK was my main tank in cata and is still a horde at lvl 88.
