Sprint will have the benefit of not having the cost of upgrading legacy equipment in a much larger network to lte advanced. In many cases it is less costly to start from scratch than dismantling and replacing existing equipment. This will give Sprint the opportunity to construct a network with the most advanced technology available.

Yeah, VZW will have to invest more to get to LTE Advanced. Sprint will have a more modern network when Network Vision is complete. LTE-A is just a software upgrade to NV sites. 800Mhz will allow Sprint to compete on coverage and 2500 will allow them to compete on capacity.

Verizon is stuck after these recent LTE upgrades and will need to do a very large network reset to go beyond their iteration of LTE...essentially there own network vision. They wont be as far as you think.

Sprint's coverage is tiny compared to Verizon though.

By the time Sprint get's their network vision actually finished, and the amount of money they have spent to get their network where it will actually run, Verizon will have been able to spend the needed amounts to upgrade to LTE-Advanced along with the other carriers. And 800mhz really isn't going to bring significant advantages to Sprint, that a little network maintenance wouldn't bring.

The majority of Sprint's supposed great NV is just improving their pathetic 3G network which is OBSOLETE. How many carrier's do you see going back to improve their obsolete technology network??

None because nobody cares about getting 1.5mbit/s anymore.

Are you aware of what Verizon will need to do to get to that point? They will be up against their own network rebuild.
