[DSL] Email down again - Hamilton, ON

Both the webmail and client based service are down. Let's see how long it lasts this time.

It's not just email, the teksavvy website is down (although not the tektalk portal, oddly).

Hello there,

We had a brief issue here that is being investigated but everything should be working again now.

Thank you,
Keith

Outlook error message
Hi Keith. Thanks for your reply but the issue, whatever it is, is continuing on my end. As of 5:31pm my email client reports an error (attached) and the webmail accreditation page will not recognize my credentials.

mail.teksavvy.com is disabled and should not be used, but yes you are correct. I have sent it off to be investigated.

Webmail now works, but it's extremely slow displaying emails. ie, you click and sometimes it's a 5-10 second wait to display the email.

Seems to be running full speed for me now. All should be back as normal!

Seems a little better now... Maybe its some bottleneck between Rogers which im using at work.

I'll try at home on my TSI connection.

So, what should we use for mail clients then on incoming mail settings? Last time I confirmed with a TSI rep (about a week ago) it was still mail.teksavvy.com

Or am I completely misunderstanding something here?

You are correct. The server settings still use mail.teksavvy.com

Martin is referring to the websites. »webmail.teksavvy.com vs »mail.teksavvy.com

I hope that clear up the confusion

It looks like the webmail interface is up, but logging in does not work. Something has changed as far as I can tell, I get a 'Connection to Storage failed' or something similar while trying to login (on both primary and secondary email addresses.

Also, I see a captcha on the login screen, please, PLEASE do not make us enter a captcha every time we need to login, unless there is a way to mark a trusted computer such that the captcha is not needed on those. As far as I can see, there is no such feature, and it is already very annoying to have to login every time (please add a keep me logged in feature).
