[MLB] Rocker: Steroids were great

and made for a much more entertaining baseball season in 1998.

Is this a deliberate troll attempt?

Entertaining for fans no doubt. But steroid use is physically long term damaging to the players. Now many would say that is their choice. Get filthy rich now and have bad health as a senior citizen.

But ok'ing steroid use in pro sports also means all the youths hoping to make it to the big time will use steroids too, even though a very, very small % will ever make it to the big time - steroid use or not.

So for the good of society the pro sports leagues ban them, even if hypocritically they don't try very hard to enforce the rules.

Howard Bloom on the radio today said that except for the 'grace' of being able to pitch a couple years in the MLB, Rocker would be nothing more than a late night caller to a sports radio show
