Re: Netflix HD - What is going on? said by frenchji:If it was a firmware issue.. why would the VPN solve the issue? Doesn't really make much sense. I think you are right and most people are quick to blame somebody else.. but I think a few of us have a good reason to blame someone else. I have a hard time believing Netflix or Charter is doing this on purpose.. but I think it's a safe bet that either is the culprit.
I never said you had a firmware issue. I was giving an example of something that caused an issue that one wouldn't have necessarily thought of. |

I am in wisconsin. I think it has more to do with charter or netflix throttling their heavier users now. Peering agreements suck, and its likely netflix was throttling users in ISPs that would not get on board with their openconnectCDN crap. The throttling disappeared as soon as superHD streams went live to everyone, and they dumped their openconnectCDN plans. |

I gave up on my Premiere and bought a Roku3 for Netflix/Amazon Prime. Best C note I spent, plus you have access to many many more services on it. |

I guess it's time for a follow up. Looks like others have had this problem too...lol
I have NOT had any issues with streaming Netflix HD for a while now. Netflix Super HD is also working fine with my PS3, Roku 3 and Win 8 Netflix app. I'm getting the 5800 bitrate stream when I check. |

Netflix is not throttling anyone and they haven't dumped their OpenConnect CDN. |
