The second one looks like my Jeep when I bought in it north GA with 80K miles on it. The first one looks like it now, with 150K miles, and after spending the last 8 years in northern WI.

Yep. Standard salt belt fare. Look under any car that has lived in the salt belt a year or more and you'd be surprised to NOT see a ton of rust.

I think more accurately would be south vs north. People bring up the salt air in coastal southern states when this comparison is made but ocean air will never match up in rust creation of salty slush clinging to the underside of a car for a few months.

Yup, apt title. I used to live in the east coast and that is what you saw. I currently live in the west coast (Sacramento) and the right picture is correct.
