If you ask, the technician will provide the information. You can also change it if you'd like, but if you ever had to call in for support they will likely reset the password to access it remotely.
You can disable the wireless on the gateway and use your own router as an access point, while still utilizing the gateway's DHCP server. That's my recommended setup vs running dual NAT and multiple DHCP servers.
