Re: Alternatives to Yahoo's Free WebMail - Pros & Cons

In an interview on NPR, a security guru from Silicon Valley said the saying around there is, "If you're not paying for the product, you ARE the product." We are so in love with "IT'S FREE!" that we charge right down the cattle chute. I'd settle for paying a reasonable sum for a reasonable expectation of privacy.

But WHERE?

Very true - all of your statements.

It doesn't HAVE to be free, just reasonable, and must behave how I want - not just the privacy part.

Buy your own domain is the absolute way to do that and really not more than a couple of bucks a months if you look around.

Less if you want to serve it yourself.
