[HSI] Charter Ultra 100 not advertised at all.....You would never even know the tier exist. Its not advertised on their website at all. Specifically with pricing and the $200 activation. Are they trying their best not to get Ultra customers? Or trying to get current customers to drop the service? Maybe both? Not to long ago when I was having issues. They was really pushing me to cancel my Ultra 100 and get me into the lower tier. Do they make more money or something by getting much more people on the lower tier? I also imagine they don't like people like me that are in the old pricing structure. |

There are a handful of things I think it could be... Charter may need to upgrade a large amount of their equipment and covered regions to support that tier? ; instead of doing so they just kind of hide that they offer that tier.
Bait and switch; Get users into lower tier with lower caps. Users get warned and eventually suggest that users upgrade to 100 Mbps package. (sounds stupid).
I'm really thinking Charter doesn't see it as "the target tier" for consumers and competition. I often hear people suggestion that the tier can be overkill. Which to a certain point I agree; I have found the occasional website and service which doesn't seem to offer that much bandwidth in the first place, e.g. a couple bandwidth speed test sites which don't appear to go over 50Mbps and gaming services are even lower. |

I have had the 100 tier for 1.7 years and at times considered dropping to the 30 tier, but we have considerable usage at my house in dayton,tn.the 100 at times does slow quite abit but in general I am happy.my pings are low 20's to teens in some servers.i get actual 11 to 12 mb a sec downloading at places like steam, nvidia,so on.a full game download of 9 to 10 gig @ steam takes mere minutes instead of hours,as when I had dsl lol... |

If you go to their website it clearly mentions Ultra 100. » charter.com/browse/inter ··· -charter |

I had the 100meg tier for over a year but I recently downgraded to 30. The speed was great and you get 500 gigs of cap room but at the end of the day it was all about the money. We are heavy internet users at my house and the 30megs is working out well for us. I would actually like to see a 50 or 60 meg package it would be nice to have an option in the middle. |

I think its funny, they have a "game" download as 500mb. All the games I just bought this week are 5+GB. In fact, The Witcher 2 enhanced edition was 16GB, so, showing those numbers is also very deceptive. |

I cannot go back to the slower tiers because of the cap for the 100meg tier not being enforced in my area. I use about 1TB per month, and sometimes more. I would never last on the 30mbps tier. |

I'd get the 100 if the upload were 50mbps. 5mbps upload is a joke for 100mbps down. |
