[Digital TV] Suddenlink TV
I really don't understand companies such as Suddenlink when it comes to offering and pricing products.
A prime example is that they let the 2 major satellite providers run all over them price-wise.
When I was going round and round with Dish, I looked into Suddenlink, and almost the same set-up would have
actually cost more than either Dish or DirecTV. It just seems they'd low ball these 2 companies by $10 or so,
and surely they'd gain enough customers to make it cost effective and pay off in the end and at the bottom line...
JMHO, I ain't no accountant...
Cable plant to each subscriber vs one bird per thousands of subs.

With cable and satellite for the same service it is hard to find two people paying the same amount. My Mother has the same service I do with Suddenlink and her bill is $10 dollars higher then mine. Why I left DirecTV for Suddenlink is my bill is $20 less now for the same service.

I'm finding that out Laker44; I went 'round and 'round with Dish until I at least got my bill lowered for a year, got most of the movie channels for three months (which is almost a negative, with the pure junk that's usually on ), and received 5 pay-movie 'passes'.
I'm not sure though, I actually may consider Suddenlink again.....out of seemingly a gazillion channels, we actually only watch about 10. I asked one of the reps on one of their forums why they didn't offer custom packages, and he said it would be too complicated....actually, it wouldn't be that complicated, it's just easier to stamp out their "package" offerings and make you pay 10 more bucks to get one or two channels that aren't in the line-up right below that one (military & fox news are on Dish's America's Top 250, not on the Top 200 !!! It's always about money........always !
You watch fox news.... I'm sorry.
If anyone DOES go to ala carte tv pricing any time soon, you won't really save money. The pricing will be set up that you'll still be covering the lesser watched channels when you get the big one.
Actually, I don't watch Fox news that much any longer. I watch CNN just as much or more.
As with any of the news stations, they report the news & problems, we the people don't do a thing about any of them....
I might as well be watching SpongeBob or whatever....
