Re: faster Uverse speeds (Project VIP) coming soon? One technician said he removed a couple bridge taps but the problem still persisted after, although it got a little better. Then I talked to the manager and he said it looked like there were still bridge taps. I'm unsure what exactly the last line technician did, he only said he messed with the connections.
I also asked about being switched to a different pair before but the technicians thought there was nothing wrong with the current one so they never did that. |

I just got a phone call from the line tech running the fiber to my house. Everything I had seen suggested I'd be setup on BPON which I was disappointed about. I had a tech support agent note on my account when they install my line to have the tech call me. Well he called and I told him I was just wanting to know if there was any way to get on GPON instead of BPON and after he got over the shock that I even the terminology and wasn't an AT&T employee, he told me I was already setup on GPON as all the new and old installs have been on GPON for a while here. Apparently the AT&T database is just as jacked up for fiber customers because I was always listed as BPON only with GPON not even available. So my Install is This Friday and I'm hoping once im up and connected I can upgrade to 24 and then to 45 hopefully soon! |
