Bumper drill holes.. Need to go away.

My car came from a state requiring front tags. In order to improve placement of my RD, I want to place it in the front grill, which was blocked by the tag mount and decorative tag.

Pulled all that off today, and the paint around the edges looks a lot better than what I expected, the only thing remaining is the drill holes - 4 of of them (don't know why as only 2 where used ).

Lots of articles on the interwebs discuss drilling them out to 1/8 and then inserting plugs. Seems like a bigger bandaid than needed.

Not looking for invisible, just hard to see..

Is it a painted bumper or chrome? I have had success with using a filler such as acrylic latex caulk that is paint-able, or in some cases was colored close enough to not be easily visible. Permatex makes a silver-colored silicone caulk that is an almost identical match for a silver painted bumper cover.

It's plastic.. Nothing more complex than a black filler should work here.

As mattmag See Profile mentioned, black caulk should work nicely.
