Re: Any issues in London?Being upgraded doesn't necessarily mean you will be affected. They could upgrade some nodes and have no one on the node affected and do so to another node and have lots of people affected. The vast majority of Rogers cable network was/is not running 64QAM and that includes London. |

My Internet is back up this morning. I checked the speeds. Something is definitely still not working the way it should. My speeds are no where near what they should be. Please don't tell me this is caused by congestion, because it's only 7:39AM. There's no way this is considered to be within the "peak time". Speakeasy: |

If this is what's going on is there any chance that removing cable splitters and connecting straight to the demark point would help?
My current signal stats.

I don't have any splitters. I don't have any TV service. The cable goes directly into the modem.
Judging by my increased upload rate since yesterday. I would assume this is due to my upgraded internet package. On Saturday I was registering 28/1. But this morning I'm almost 10 up. |

Keep your ticket open with TSI about the speed issue, you likely need a visit from a Rogers technician to check out your line. |

150/10 service and this is what I'm having to deal with:
I would ask that anyone thinking of upgrading their service to wait a while before doing so.. This is a nightmare. My ping replies are timing out. My latency is horrible.

I had three disconnects yesterday afternoon, not sure if they were trying to get my speed changed or if it was related to these other problems, speed tests have seemed fine though here... |

So my modem spontaneously rebooted and now no Internet. Hopefully this means the issue is being addressed (or my speed change is being applied). |

Speed changes would not cause you to not be able to connect to the network. |

I never had any issues with my 28/1 service. Not until I got the upgraded which was Saturday night/early Sunday when I lost my internet for almost all day on Sunday and since then nothing but issues. TekSavvy confirmed with Rogers that I have been setup as of Sunday monring on the 150/10 Service. Still having issues with latency and pack loss here. The only time I have seen anything above 100Mbps was yesterday morning and only on the Toronto TekSavvy server on speedtest.net. The rest at that time were around 30-40Mbps. I just ran these 20mins ago: Speakeasy Chicago: Speakeasy NewYork: |

Had good signal until 7:30 tonight. My speedtests are similar to the above. Do you think start.ca is having the same issue? |

still slow today... this other server shows a good connection though, starting to think the Kitchener speed test is the problem |

said by DennisLX:this other server shows a good connection though, starting to think the Kitchener speed test is the problem Yes that server is always slow, even though I'm very close to it. The Toronto Beanfield and Nexicom servers are very fast, as well as Blink in Oakville, but if you're in London you may start to get some distance issues. |

I know this thread started several days ago but modem is constantly dropping connection starting just couple hours ago. I am located in north London.
Anyone else having issues with unstable connection? |

Anyone else having issues with unstable connection? That is what happened to be the first day of my upgrade. Did you request a speed change in the last week or so? It might be because of that switch. For me the change happened Saturday Night/Sunday Morning and I was without internet almost all day Sunday. it just kept disconnecting through out the day. Massive packet loss, etc. Since Monday I have not lost internet, however in the evenings I do have packet loss and really slow connections. I'm in the Oxford/Wonderland area. |

I'm late to this post but the last few days my speedtest has been awful and internet has been slow all around. I just got the confirmation email for my upgrade to 45/4 and after power cycling the modem (DCM476) my speedtest results are at best 10/1. Download and upload speeds in utorrent on private sites (which can download at over 100 megabytes/sec) are unchanged from previous if not a bit slower on upload. I made a post in teksavvy direct. |
