We just "cut the cable" (most of it) and went to local channels only. Not wanting to pay rent on Verizon equipment that has been bought and paid for many time over I am looking for a substitute for the Verizon DTC-700 which they want $4/month. We have two HD TV's with built in QAM tuners and one older Sony flat glass analog TV with a pretty good picture still.
Anyone know of any digital to analog (QAM equivalent) convertors out there?
prolly won't need box with HDTV's. Try just plugging in coax and let it discover channels available. (There will be MANY only a few of which will work, with some surprises) As to the Sony, try the same thing. At worst you may need a converter-try Ebay
