just got my response about my portal request, and it will take three days... currently this is the speedtest... will see what difference in three days. I guess when they say the upload is 1MB, it really is. (but it was suppose to be 28MB down... but I get 35 already)

That's the speedboost from rogers which is only active for the first 20mb of the download. Enough to buffer videos, and skew speedtests.

Once that list is empty, will you have moved completely to ATPIA? Or are there other POIs that aren't scheduled yet?

Are there are links upgrades for TPIA still in the pipe?

How many total 10g links are live now for ATPIA? I thought 7 in total.

No more links for TPIA.. There's plenty of capacity until they are migrated.

On ATPIA there are currently 9 x 10 gig links. There are 5 more on order.

So you've already gone from the "need 10GigE because GigE is too slow" category to "Need 100GigE because 10GigE is too slow" category :P

Well, maybe 40GigE, since that would reduce the single point of failure :P

That is good for you guys. I was hoping there wouldn't be any more wasteful TPIA links on order with only 1.5 months to go. As I customer I wouldn't want subpar service for that time period but it just seems like a waste of time/resources on Rogers side that should be used for TPIA - ATPIA migrations instead.

Glad to see that there is lots of capacity on the ATPIA side, and to boot more to come as well.

Very unlikely Rogers would bother with 40Gb.

Hi Marc,
My migration is coming up. Wondering what would happen when it's underway.

1) How long I will be out of Internet?
2) What should I do when Internet is back?
3) When should I call in to switch to switch the speed?

Thanks.

1. Seconds or minutes.. At about 3am
2. Nothing
3. You can call or go to MyWorld and switch probably on Tuesday.

mine was at 12:31 so I guess there is no rhyme or reason to the order.
