Hey I seem to be only able to get over 150mbps on the Start server every other server is like 110-120mb max im directly plugged into the modem at the moment to test im guessing its my modem stats? how do they look.

With cable, unlike DSL, the signal stats don't affect speed much. Poor signal usually means you don't get a connection. And you typically get a high bit error rate with bad signal quality.
That said, your signal isn't as good as it maybe should be ... a little marginal. Looks like it's behind more than 1 splitter or on a 7dB split on a 3 way splitter but it's not causing you problems ... evidenced by the fact you've got a 0% bit error rate.
The fact that you get 150mbps on Start's speedtest says that you've got full speed to the network. The 110 to 120 to other servers just implies the network connection between Start and the server you chose is just not up to delivering full speed. |

I'm on an SB6120 and when I hit the Reset All Defaults button the modem doesn't seem to reboot on its own; am I supposed to hit the restart button after that, or should I just wait?
Not that I expect to have been upgraded already, so far the confirming users are far to the East of me (I'm in Centretown). Just checking to see if any other 6120 users can chime in. |

said by charettepa:would still like to know though, why im still only getting 3 channel upstream bonding. been like this over 1 month now That's the "new normal" from Rogers. They switched us from four lower-capacity upstream channels to three higher-capacity upstream channels earlier this summer. End result is more upstream is available than before, and they can always add another channel in the future if needed. |

Except that map isn't completely accurate, and has entire neighbourhoods shown on the wrong POI. Better than nothing (by a long shot) though. |

Well, if nobody tells me which neighbourhoods are covered by the wrong head end I can't do much about it can I!
This map is based on the old Ottawa Cablevision / Skyline Cablevision divisions, but the areas of question are those along the Fallowfield/Richmond Rd border. |

I really hope mine is upgraded tonight. I need to do a bunch of uploading to various servers tonight. |

Actually smerrikin, just checked your request and we received a response from our vendor exactly at 10:22 this morning that your speed change was done! Try rebooting and see Cheers, TSI Jonathan |

That surprises me ... the boundary was essentially the exp. farmland south of Knoxdale ... now W. Hunt Club. It really doesn't make a lot of sense, especially considering that Bells Corners was fed from Richmond Rd and not Fallowfield, which is really much closer to Fallowfield!
Assuming you're correct, it looks like they probably moved Fallowfield's coverage north to the railway line. |

I'm waiting. I'm in Kanata North fed by the Fallowfield POI. No change for me yet. Should I reboot my modem? |

The change in package is predicated on the change to the Aggregated Point of Interconnect (APOI) and that isn' t happening on fallowfield until tomorrow! |
|
|
I'm excited. I can feel my uploads taking less time right now! |

Still no upgrade for me. (going from the 18down/.5up plan to the new 25down/2up) Oh well! |
|
|
Wow! I have NEVER got 26 mb/s download on the 18/.5 plan. Usually a solid 21 mb/s, which is ok.
I'm still waiting for 25/2 here. It's been a week since I put my request in... |
