[HN9000] Nearly impossible to view YouTube videos?

Watching videos on YouTube has become a challenge. For a great part of every day I find it nearly impossible to load YouTube videos. Some times only a few seconds will load. Often times the videos will load half way through. Most of the times the videos won't load until I refresh the page about 10-20 times and even still often don't fully load. This is very annoying and honestly should not be happening. I am not FAP'd and for the price of this internet it should not be too much to ask to get a few short YouTube videos to load everyday. Why is this happening and is there anything I can do to help them load better?

Have you tried toggling web acceleration on / off.
Heard they may be playing around with 9000 software so that may make mess of things.

I'm on a 9000 and find YouTube to work poorly at best. I've gotten to were I just use the free YouTube download app so I can watch a smooth video that isn't chopped or incomplete.

If you decide to install the free YouTube downloader just be sure to uncheck all the boxes as you go through the install (unless you want all those add-ons).

I'm on the 9000. For me Youtube tends to load better when I have Turbopage disabled. 480 runs smoothly and sometimes 720 works well. Chrome also tends to work better on Youtube for me (What a shocker).

watching them in "real time" can be frustrating. it is better to use a grabber program like internet download manager and just save the video to your computer and then play it back with no jerkiness or interrupts.

Are youtube downloaders legal? I can't seem to very if they are or not on web searches. Some say yes, some say no. Is there a program legally made for downloading youtube videos to computer?

it's a gray area.

Youtube already downloads video to your computer's cache when you are watching them so i would lean more towards being legal

Hmm, never really thought about that...
I do some closed caption editing for YouTube videos and this is the only way I can do it without pulling my hair out.
It's available at CNET so never considered legality issues although I tend to get it directly from the developer at youtubedownloader.
I then run it in Daum PotPlayer so I can use my foot pedal to control it.
