how to setup a wirelss access point with WRT160N

i have been looking for information about router access point setup on the internet, and have been trying for few days, but still not working.
i wanna use the Linksys WRT160N router to set as an wireless access point on the second floor, and the main router from TELLUS is on the first floor, as i dont want to many wires in between, so what i should do on the setting menu, should i change the IP etc...

#1 In the TELLUS you need to find the DHCP Server Range.

#2 If you do not know where to find the DHCP Server range: What is the model of the TELLUS?

#3 Moving along..

In the TELLUS you need to make sure that the DHCP Server range does not occupy the whole subnet.

#4 If the TELLUS occupies the whole subnet, you need to make the DHCP Server range smaller.

For example if the TELLUS's LAN IP is 192.168.1.1, the Starting IP Address is 192.168.1.2 and the Ending IP Address is 192.168.1.254 - you could change the Starting IP Address so that it is 192.168.1.100

#5 Without the WRT160N connected to the TELLUS, in the WRT160N you will need to:

a) Make it's LAN IP in the same subnet as the TELLUS but outside of the DHCP Server range.

For example if the TELLUS's LAN IP is 192.168.1.1, the Starting IP Address is 192.168.1.100 and the Ending IP Address is 192.168.1.254 - you could make the WRT160N LAN IP 192.168.1.6

b) Disable it's DHCP Server.

#6 Then you connect one of the LAN ports of the WRT160N to the one of the LAN ports of the TELLUS router.
