Though upgrading the ST516v6 to firmware 7.4.4.7 boosted my uplink speed a tiny bit...

Did you order your 25/10 VDSL service on a different pair? I ask because you might want to keep your old service up and running for a month of overlap. Considering you use your connection for work you are going to want a backup connection if the install goes awry.

Not really possible given that I'm on a wet loop and I can afford a little downtime (I can use my 4G connection) and don't feel like paying extra on top of install and modem fees. Which makes me think... Can I keep my wet loop with VDSL or is a dry loop mandatory?
