Re: Rolling out 10Mbps tomorrow? Supposedly When you say "phasing over several weeks" are we talking Ultimate 30 upgrade before the end of August? or are we being mislead and waiting until September because we don't pay $100 for our internet service. |

My guess is that we're phasing it to monitor possible impacts on our network and customers, rather than changing everybody at the same time and then having to react if issues arise. Again, this is just a guess.
I know everybody is waiting anxiously for the speeds (myself as well as I'm on Ultimate 30 too). We will get this out soon! |

No one is being misled. Cogeco has already stated that they are phasing through the upgrades from the start of August and to Mid-September.
And like most things, this could be delayed or extended into October, if any issues arise.
I think it is better to be able to use our internet, instead of it being down for a week or longer.
-> I was hoping for speeds in that second week of August too. However, more information was released within 2 days that should have painted the picture clear. |

Re: Rolling out 10Mbps tomorrow? Supposedly It could be worse miKnutty, you could be me, I pay for the 60 Meg connect, and because I live in Peterborough, it appears Cogeco has no plan at this time to upgrade us to 10 M/bit upload. |

I think what many people's issue is, is that it was originally stated that August 5th would be the day the upload changes, not between August and September.
When I went to the Pen last month to get the modem for Turbo 20, the guy there even said beginning of August the upload would change.
It's just been poor communication on Cogeco's part. Other than that I have no issue waiting, just wish they would be a bit more specific. |

As we have seen, this isn't really confirming anything. Cogeco reps on the phone could have any varying and out-dated list/info on rollouts of new speeds.
So far, the only concrete sources have been Twitter. |
