I'm few blocks east of Dundern.

Which is as the Cogeco email of 05 July 2013 said ("Starting in the month of August 2013, we'll be progressively increasing your upload speed from 2 Mbps to 10 Mbps.") it would be. |

If you're on Ultimate 30, point your browser to 192.168.100.1 and copy/paste the section down at the bottom of the screen that says Channels 0 through 7 on the first part and Channels 0 through 3 on the second part. |

 | said by Gone:Turbo 20 or Ultimate 30? I'm on the grandfathered soho business plan (16/2). They switched the modem up to the docsis 3 one the last time my connection flaked out. I really hope I'm not excluded from the upgrade, as I could just as easily switch to Bell's 25/7 DSL.
I don't think it's fair that rural towns get upgraded before major cities, as well as residential customers getting the upgrade before business customers. But if I also get the shaft because I'm a long-time customer, I'm definitely leaving Cogeco. |

GonePremium join:2011-01-24 Fort Erie, ON kudos:4 | 99.999% you're excluded. 16/2 is a DOCSIS 2 plan. If you want higher upload, bite the bullet and pay for the upgrade to Business Ultimate 45. |

I guess I'll be calling Bell in the morning. |

@sumtingwong
I really don't think that's going to fix your situation.
If you aren't docsis 3 eligible, You're probably in an area where you aren't fibe eligible either.
If you are in a docsis 3 area, you're going to be better off with cogeco with a docsis 3 plan... |

And Bell's 25/10 is $62, whereas I'm paying $90 for Cogeco. |

Or you could go with someone like eBox and get 25/10 for $45.95 (works out to just under $52 with taxes). They have a free install promo and free dry loop.
Pretty good value for me anyways. It is a residential plan with 250GB included (unlimited 2 am to 2 pm).
I can see the logic in upgrading smaller centres first. Fewer problem calls to deal with if something doesn't work right. |

| On my phone so it's hard to post a quote, but that was one of his concerns as well.
If they did it that way, I could see the logic in it. They work out the kinks with a smaller user base so the larger base has the smoothest transition possible. |

Well still in Chatham and on Ultimate 60, still only getting 4Mbps instead of 10Mbps. What is up with this? I had the 10Mbps for 1 hour and then my modem reset and now only bond on 1 channel on the upstream and still not getting the speeds...Kinda sucks. |
|
 | I don't think they have multiple channels for upload available in the Chatham area yet. So until they add another two upload channels 4mbps is the best were going to get. |

Are Windsor Turbo 20 customers scheduled to receive the speed upgrade? |
|
 | Turbo 20 will be last by the looks of things. Not sure if Windsor has multiple upload channels or not. You can check in your modems diagnostics page. If there is only one you can expect 4mb/s upload until they ad additional channels. |

Windsor will receive the 10 megabit upload. |
|
ok @teksavvy.com | Will Chatham as well? |
|
 | 20mbs customers still haven't gotten the upgrade. Chatham has only one upload channel at the moment so tops well get is 4mbps upload until they add additional. |
