You will have the same channels you have with the standalone BHTV App there is no difference other than one is broswer based and the other is mobile OS based.

ahh ok, the wording of the setup said I MUST select one of my boxes in order to stream live tv.

Its really slick and the interface works, only thing I would like to see is a manual quality selector. Theres a max quality stream that kicks in that my laptop has a tough time handling. Youtube is the same way, I always have to catch and force it to 720p so it does not goto 1080p.

Well, I know nothing about the standalone app as I don't have either Android or iPad tablets (and I don't have any interest in watching on my 4" phone!)

Steve, yea unfortunately the online stations will never match the cable box. Much like netflix can't just stream any dvd that can be rented, a new (or amended to the original) contract needs to be made with networks to allow for streaming a channel over the internet. Some networks just have not allowed it yet.

Thanks Jeff...shame because now the soccer season has started I was hoping I could use the online version to keep from driving my wife crazy...lol

what method does (and doesn't) end up controlling the box?

I don't understand the question

What feature ends up changing channels on the box itself? I ask because I don't have a box in my room, its in everyone elses room so I can't really see what does, and I don't want to go using it if it means someone else can't watch their channel.

in FireFox 23.0.1 I am getting a Response Header of X-Failure-reason: No Token When i select a channel any ideas?

Very nice! Working pretty well here. Like others, I have noticed that the motion is a little less than smooth, but not terrible. This is on a hex core AMD (1075T) with a Radeon 6950.

I agree, using it "home only" defeats the very purpose of viewing via internet. It provides nothing beyond pretending to provide something extra but squelching further requests.

He probably isn't. There is either a bug in the forum s/w or our good friend Gary doesn't know how to reply to a message (probably NOT the case )? If you look back you'll see many of his replies are to himself. Makes it hard to determine whom he has actually replied too.

I suspect one of the ones to himself was meant for you.

This is a completely different issue, however you are correct about the replies, and it does become quite confusing who is talking to whom.

So after using it for several days now there does seem to be a smoothness issue. Maybe it just need to enable triple buffering but even my gaming computer that is on a quadcore intel can't keep a smooth framerate.

There are some silverlight issues in certain configurations. Microsoft knows about it and it's widely discussed. I personally do not have the problem nor have I seen it on the PC's I have here.

I've been on it much of the day, 2 issues, the Live Chanel pop out should be able to be just closed, if I go full screen it goes away if I use a browser on the other monitor. Other than that picture and sound are good, I've been asking for this for about a year since all the "apps" have come out for tablets and some phones, some people still use a real computer.

It also works good on my Windows 8 laptop when I was downtown waiting for my daughter to get out of school, Brighthouse hotspot.

I found out why I might be having the issue regarding my inability to see the program guide in either the web or Android versions. I posted the info in the thread I started in the direct forum about this.
