Luna join:2013-07-15 Martinsburg, WV | Wireless 'n Wifi Modem Info I'm looking into maybe trying their Unlimited 4G LTE plan which they told me is on the Sprint network. Does anyone know what Sierra Wireless tri-band hotspot device they are using, like the model number? I'm going to have to go by my Sprint store to borrow a device to test the 4g LTE coverage at my house and want to be able to compare the one they will lend me to the one Wireless will send me.

| I'm a Wireless 'n' WiFi subscriber. They use the the Tri-Fi, which connects to 3G, to 4G WiMax on the 2500 band and the LTE on the 1900 band.
In my case, I wanted to do exactly what you wanted to do, namely try the Tri-Fi with the 14-day trial period that Sprint offers first to see whether it paid me to upgrade to Wireless 'n' WiFi. And the Sprint store refused to sell it to me since my area had not yet been cleared for LTE according to the Sprint coverage map. But then I discovered that the Sensorly map at »www.sensorly.com/map/ reported that LTE had already been fired up in my area so I took the plunge, sight unseen, and I haven't regretted it.
Not that the LTE in my area is much good. It isn't; the WiMax is better, at least on the download side. But at least I don't have to worry about Millenicom's 50 gig cap, so I still don't regret making the move (though the up-front charge for the modem from Wireless 'n' WiFi is certainly quite a bit steeper than for Millenicom). In addition, Millenicom has the BYOD deal so you don't absolutely have to fork out the cash for one of Millenicom's own devices like you have to do with Wireless 'n' WiFi, so it was quite a tough decision for me. But I'm glad I made it; the 50 gig cap was giving me fits. |

the current USB modem offered by wirelessnwifi is the NETGEAR® 341U USB Modem that is currently offered by Sprint.
I received our modem on Saturday, so now we are running Sprint 4G LTE and Exede satellite system. |

| Keep in mind that wirelessnwifi also offers the Tri-Fi hotspot, which is really nice if you run more than one computer in your house and you need to network them. I don't know what wirelessnwifi's charges are if you upgrade from one device to another. |

Yeah, I found out it's the Sierra Wireless 4G LTE Tri Fi Hotspot 803S. I'm probably going to go with that with Wireless N Wifi, especially since Millenicom just raised their Sprint plan prices and I have found out that I use almost 100 gigs a month on the 4g LTE connection.

*Happy dance that I am able to leave Frontier*
Just had to add that. |
