Re: Westlinkcable.net and Westlink Cable is a scamYes I do but It's because Shaw doesn't know how to do business I'm not going to run through their lines until they get their shit together and maybe have a better outlook on It's customers. Also I have just noticed since after being disconnected I get Invoices from them now why didn't I get them before? Shaw Cable Is being weird to letting some company run there lines when they never heard of them when It comes to third party they should make sure that they are valid before providing someone with services. I have no Idea why they don't seems like they don't give a care about the customers like before they are In the dust and have no Internet. I believe If I had a chance I would run Shaw more better and make sure the place of the service Is valid and not have It to where It's under a different name and they don't even live there. This Is why I choose to go after and aft and rant on and on about them. |

Re: Westlinkcable.net and Westlink Cable is a scamHmmmm, some users over in the videotron forum have come across a fishy new ISP. » Nouveau fournisseur internet cable» www.geckflow.com/index.p ··· mon/homeIt has spelling mistakes, fake addresses, too good to be true deals, direct deposit only payments, etc...... hmmmmmm. Is that you Robb? |

The address looks to be a storage locker in a self-storage facility. Nice!
It's taking a slightly different tack though, in asking for a 1 year payment in advance to get "the great deal". It is interesting that their FAQ claims that they offer only residential services but the main page provides links to sign up for business services too. |

Phone number shows up on Kijii all over the place QST Number is registered to SERVICES FIDELIGOLD, fi they had a domain, it's expired. The IP address to Geckflow.com is registered to a series of IP's with Peer1 The best part is the 3yrs of market research these guys did before launching. Better question, how do "return" an Internet Service? » www.geckflow.com/index.p ··· n/insertAnd while I'm at it, I called the 800 number with Skype, the line is "busy" The fax number responds with a recording in French, which is not my first 2nd or even last language. |

Definitely suspicious.
The Bank for deposits is TD 6505 Av Somerled Montreal, PQ H4V 1S7 Branch # 4784
The account number is unusual at 11 digits ... Like most Canadian banks. TD accounts are 7 digits.
Most banks will not accept 3rd party deposits ... i.e. I pay into your account because it removes the traceability in case of bounced deposits.
Gotta love the payment in $, euros or $ Presumably this is from using some european freebie shopping cart. A lot of the fishy smell of this company comes from the use of this foreign shopping cart for a service.
The domain was registered in Nov 2012 and appears to be hosted by HostPapa in Oakville ON.
A lot of storage places operate mail drops as well. |

That makes no sense Sbrook.
I did a lookup on Geckflow and it came up with this
Name: geckflow.com Address: 76.74.242.140 which is Peer1
Hostpapa
Name: hostpapa.com Address: 173.46.7.7
Which has it's own block of addresses registered with Arin. |

Their DNS record is
ns1.hostpapa.com.
IP Address : 173.46.7.5
Makes one wonder where hostpapa's hosting facilities actually are! |

Well since the CCTS is foolish enough to take on a scammer as a paid customer, why not file a complaint to the CCTS against Geckflow saying you bought the service and have nothing after a month.
The CCTS will then force Geckflow to reg with them (and pay them). or Geckflow will run away and take their site down.
Surely if the CCTS can take money from a scammer and spam for them then the CCTS can take a fake complaint to reg a company with them.
I say do it. Let's see what happens.
Will the CCTS put out a fraud alert for this company? Or will the company register with non-compliant Quebec legal requirements (ie the no refunds and so forth).
Will be a fun show to see what occurs. |

It looks like the fax number is their main number, and it's a it weird one.
The french greeting has 5 options:
1. Subscribe to ISP Services 2. Client Support 3. Biological Products ???? No idea what's going on there, I'm a biologist and I've never heard of them, so they're not doing wet lab reagents, there's also no info regarding these products on their webpage. 4. Ad placement 5. Job listings |

My account is 11 digits, the last 7 digits are not unique numbers except to a particular branch. You must include the branch number. The numbering format is correct in itself (he published the whole Canadian banking number) however, the branch number (0097) in this case, must be a part of the transit number (47841). That is unless the banking industry is changing their numbering system. |
