 | [Internet] How much do you guys pay for internet? Just wondering how much do people pay for TWC internet in this forum. Make sure to put price (excluding modem, etc.), speeds or tier, and location.
I am paying $35 for standard internet, in LA, used to be $29.99 when I got the promotion for signup, now they give me the $35 summer sale one after 12 months. |

1 edit | Weird. Your $35 is cheap and not promotional?
I got my monthly snail mail bill on 8/1/2013, but it didn't mention anything about a cable modem lease free increase (yet? currently $3.95). It did mention cable services' price increases like standard Internet ($52.99 -> $54.99; 15/1 speeds). East of L.A. |

That's why it's kind of cheap. I think I should ask TWC just to make sure... |

They said I will be moved to the summer sale promotion after my current promotion expires. And no, I don't have bundle package either, just internet. And looks like TWC's live chat is down, kept having bad requests... |

$35 for 15/1mbit (16/1.1mbit now I guess) ...
Only other option here is FIOS, but their plans are way too expensive: $50/m for 15/5mbit ..
Wish Charter were available here, they offer 30mbit for $30/m...

$96 including tax for 50/5. Was $85ish until this billing cycle. I own my own modem; when i was renting it was a few bucks above $85.
I could try for a retention deal, but TWC probably knows that they have me over a barrel; AT&T is about one-tenth the speed where I am. |

Honestly I don't know how I got my promotion, think it was a coincidence lol. I was contacting TWC via live chat for some problems, then I ask the TWC representative about what's the regular price for standard internet, the rep said $52.99 (at the time of the live chat), then the rep said we will move you to the newest promotion that we have. So that's the story, I don't know if they will apply the new promotion or not, since my old promotion that when I sign up with just expired this month... Was going to contact TWC to make sure, but it seems like the live chat is down as I said on my last post. I guess I will contact them tomorrow to make sure. I think you should ask TWC for promotions also. |

Well, threaten to switch services. They want to keep you. I was thinking about some threatening plans if TWC suddenly raises prices, like AT&T serving 18/2 for cheaper price of the TWC's 15/1. Although AT&T doesn't serve UVerse in my area, only 3mbps DSL max. Would I have to use some lies to get them to lower me prices? Just wondering. |

$35 for standard internet I NEVER pay regular price. When promotional pricing end and price goes up, I always call them and ask for it. Right now, I have been paying promotional pricing for three years now. $55 a month for standard internet seem a rip-off if you ask me. -- Curious about Sprint improved 3G and growing 4G LTE network? Then check it out at www.s4gru.com

I pay full price... $75 for 30/5
TWC is the only game in town so they have no incentive to offer any promos... and they don't.
The only other option I have is 768/128k DSL from Fairpoint for $35, but I don't think that even qualifies as "broadband" today. That was the same service I had 13 years ago. |

The apartment complex I moved to had an entertainment package that included Tv and Internet for $59.99 per month. Separating the two wasn't an option, so either all or nothing. Its a fiber connection that gets 40-100 mbps download and the same speed upload. I'm pretty happy overall. |

My current deal gives me 30/5 internet, a DVR box in the living room and standard box in the bedroom for $93 a month total with taxes until the fall of 2014. No extra channels beyond standard offerings. We wouldn't watch them anyway. We switched from DirecTV and this is the deal that was offered for 2 years. It would be $73 with 15/1 internet speed and $83 with Turbo. |
