Cable: Youtube defaulting to lowest quality?

Just switched to Teksavvy cable from Bell. I am finding that youtube takes a comparatively long time to initially start playing, and usually defaults to the lowest quality (like 140p) but plays fine when I change it back to 480p.

Anyone else experience this?

The script is one thing to workaround issues with the crappy YouTube client. There is no reason to change the DNS servers at all.

Just want to give a quick update on this:

I switched my DNS to the google DNS and the improvement has been amazing! Haven't used the firefox script yet.

Cheers!

Thanks I prefer Teksavvy DNS, so this is nice to see.

I've ran Namebench a bunch of times & have always found Teksavvy DNS to be superior, YMMV.

Although, do run: "ipconfig /flushdns", via a command prompt & reboot, prior to running the software.
