It only happens on the LOCAL node. My node is the HARRIS Node and which I know about 10 people who live on my road and on that node and when my internet goes out THERE internet goes out! There is another Node about 10min away which is the Forest City Node and there internet is fine thats were the local office is.
When the Internet is working the Cable Modem signals are fine so its not that thats causing it.
Also I tested something today when it went out. I DONT have cable tv but I have always gotten about 10 analog channels and 3 digital cable channels without a cable box on my tv. Well the 10 analog channels come in VERY clear pretty much as good as it gets for analog channels, But when the internet went OUT the analog channels became very staticiy but still worked but no longer as clear and 3 digital cable channels did not work at all but when my internet came back on digital channels worked and the analog channels became extreamly clear again.
The internet goes out several times a day at random times. What could be causing it giving the details I have provided? Since it is affecting the cable tv as well.
NO I DONT have any spliters, Cable runs from power line underground up my wall and right into the cable modem!
Also it happens to EVERYONE down this road. Every time I call them at the local office they freaking send someone out to my house just to tell me everything is fine, Of course its fine its working fine at the moment! lol. But they dont seem to relize there is something up with there node and I`ve told them that. I came here to ask if anyone knows what would do this so I could tell them.
Thanks. |

You need to make the cable co aware of this and tell them it affects 10 people on your road and the folks who have TV say their analog stations get static while the modem gets bumped offline. |
