 | [Internet] New modem [Ubee dvw3201B] we just upgraded our internet from fios to twc, and they updated our modem and did the swap out, and now, anything p2p related does not work. Utorrent has come to a grinding halt, going from d/l a GB in mere minutes, to a few KB a day. If I'm lucky. We have a standard linksys router, wrt54g (I think, the most common one..) and I followed a guide and seen if I needed to change anything, but apparently the problem is coming from our new modem. I've tried loggin into it with the default ip addresses, and with my luck, no results. Just your standard 502 bad gateway message.
Can anybody please explain what's going on? Someone tried walking me through it but couldn't help because we were hitting that wall with the ip address. |

 | Me again, and another issue I forgot to mention. I'm seeming to have trouble logging onto sites with high security, such as GMail, and Youtube. ***( And now this forum, .__. ) This is the error I keep receiving in Chrome:
Error 150 (net::ERR_SSL_PINNED_KEY_NOT_IN_CERT_CHAIN): The server's certificate appears to be a forgery.
Can someone please, for pete's sake, help me out here? Or steer me in the right direction? I've been having these issues, but I just recently upgraded my HDD on my pc, so I ruled out any hardware issues days ago, after taking parts out, plugging in, unistalling/reinstalling all drivers, but apparently ithe problems lying within this derpy modem.
Kudos for anyone ahead of time for helping |

If you have the same error in another browser (Firefox, whatever other browser you can try) then I would wonder if perhaps your web traffic is being proxied incorrectly either the OS is screwed up or there is malware. |

You didn't upgrade. You downgraded.
But you should get your own modem and even save $ and have more control. |

You need to call up TWC and have them put your modem into bridged mode, so your router can get a public ip address, and can do any port forwarding it needs to. |
|
 | Fiber to cable is definitely a downgrade. The P2P issue could be caused by double NATing, with both your Linksys and the Ubee trying to route and firewall. Make sure the modem is in bridge mode. The HTTPS error is a software issue. Reset your browser settings and make sure your computer's clock is synced. |

Omg I wish TWC would stop installing ubee brand modems. Thy we're fine when it was still ambit but the latest ones esp with build in routers or phone jacks are the absolute worse. I went with my own sbg6580 and never looked back. |

mofiz join:2003-03-02 Akron, OH | I picked up a UBee dvw3201b via Craigslist for $20, our modem fees went upto $6, so far no problem with turbo speed(22Mbps down and little over 2Mbps up consistently) was going to put it in bridge mode but cant access that part in the tools section, tried everything last 8 digits of mac and the password "c0nf1gur3m3" everyone suggested, another thing Wi-Fi part doesn't work either, it showed up first time when I was setting up now it doesn't show up, I may have the wrong firmware, mine is 9.8.3015D2, it may be from a different provider previous owner was using with, any one else has the same router with same firmware from TWC? just curious, since level 3 tech wasn't much help. |

 | even if the unit has built in wifi , it will not work unless you pay TWC for wifi service or it comes free with extreme 30meg tier. the fact that its locked down is because it was prolly a twc owned unit and then sold on ebay that didnt return it to its proper owner. be happy that level 3 even activated it.
