easydns has a ddos attack underway. I tend to use 8.8.8.8 google DNS which so far I have not had an issue with.

So THAT is the problem? I was here about 40 minutes ago and suddenly when I tried to go to another page, I got a DNS error that the site could not be found. I couldn't ping this site even by IP address. I tried a lot of stuff including flushing the DNS cache and then other DNS servers none of which could find this site. But oddly, every service I tried like "Down just for me" all said this site was up and running and it was down for me only.

Finally, I did a direct connection and here I am. So, is my ROUTER the problem? I ditched my old Linksy router a couple of months ago because of so many DNS errors but those were to other sites also. This time, the problem was only with this site.

Well, it should have probably been done a while ago but I switched DNS resolution to Amazon route53 maybe I'm wrong but I don't think they are so easily DDOS'd. The records for dslr.net and dslreports.com have been changed at the root level I'm not sure how long that will take to filter through. Hopefully I didn't make any typos!

Looks like we're on Route 53. Goodbye easydns, it was nice knowing you but after raising a support ticket a few weekends ago and finding out support was now 9-5 monday to friday and then finding out they'd actually been sold to Dyn a few years ago with no notice that I remember getting -- its over.

Is this why I just lost the style sheet here on all browsers?

If you cannot resolve i.dslr.net then you will lose the CSS file.

Just to chime in, everything is working fine for me now. I even commented-out my entries in the Hosts file, but it's still loading fine. All fixed for me.

I hope so because if the amazon DNS service had issues it'd be news.

Yep. Like me, you can't resolve i.dslr.net. Ugly without the style sheet, isn't it? Plus, no images. Try reading a forum thread with a lot of uploaded screenshots you can't see.

I cannot. "Unable to resolve target system name".

It seems that easydns is still tripping me up. I'll change temporarily to images from the same domain name.

Sorry, I was away for a bit.

It is fine now. I can ping i.dslr.net and I have the style sheet back. :)

This explains why I don't see images either.

currently www.dslreports.com is not using i.dslr.net for images, but secure.dslreports.com is. There should be few if any image issues on www, and if you can resolve i.dslr.net, none on https either.

I think it is safe to return images to i.dslr.net:
