Re: Crapsavvy - Another slow night on cable

I live in London. I have had an absolute terrible experience since upgrading to 150/10. At 9:00AM my speedtests to Toronto are around 120Mbps down. When I run a speed test anywhere else in the world at 9:00AM the most I get is 38Mbps down. I was bouncing back and forth with teksavvy in the direct forum. I think my thread has 3 or 4 pages worth of data. Teksavvy escalated my issue to Rogers who returned saying there's nothing wrong.

At night, during actual peak times. My speedtests are below 10Mbps down. It's currently 10:10PM and here's my test to Toronto right now:

There is obviously an issue somewhere. Rogers can say there is nothing wrong.. But I tell you what, I never once had a single complaint with my internet service before I upgraded. I was on a 28/1 package and it was always reliable and constant no matter what time of the day it was.

My home network is configured for 1Gbps. All cables and router are verified and between computers through my router I can transfer avg. 120MB/s

I know that this isn't Teksavvy's fault and I do appreciate that they do their best to help me out, but at the end of the day, I am paying TekSavvy for a service and receiving piss poor results.

After being delayed on my 2nd ticket to support and dealing with this situation for 2 weeks without any progress I finally threw up my arms and ordered DSL. My new DSL is set to be installed tomorrow and after the installation is complete I will be cancelling my cable. I would not recommend the 150/10 package to anyone.

I saw TSI Gabe's post about WinMTR. Here are my results from a 5min test. Host: 206.248.154.22

@teksavvy.com
I'm not trying to insult Teksavvy.. I'm trying to get their attention that there is a problem. I am not trolling.. I have a legitimate concern.

@teksavvy.com
I can verify that this is the case in Whitby area right now .. and every single night without fail my 150/10 drops to low 30s and sometimes into the single digits right around the 9PM mark.

I'll run your WinMTR for the next while but this IS A PROBLEM.
