[Speed] Is RCN Internet still slow in Queens, NY?

I was considering switching from TWC to RCN, but it seems that Internet speeds were far lower than promised in Woodside and surrounding areas of Queens for at least the first part of the year. There haven't been any such posts for a couple months, so I ask, is the situation the same, or has it improved?

I just upgraded to 50Mbs today and for my trouble received an increase in upload (now 6Mbs) and a decrease in Download (now 11-12Mbs)

Give it a chance..there's always small lil things when a roll out occurs..no matter where you are or what ISP you have

Verify your equip is up to date as well.
Congrats on the upgrade!

I got the equipment from their office this morning. They have an appointment for Monday afternoon. I hope they can fix it.

Sometimes it's the outside equip - node, tap...headend...etc., or updates to that equipment being implemented as issues develop

Hang in there..you should even out soon, hopefully. If not, post back with an encoded mac address (not your actual one)
