Load balancing: How to check status of particular router
Hi again all,
I don't even know how to ask what I am trying to ask, so bare with me:
I just installed our Comcast business class on WAN2. Everything is working great.
The only issue I have noticed so far, is when I enter the modem's IP in a browser (10.1.10.1) its a crapshoot whether it will pull up or not.
I am *assuming* when the traffic is using WAN2 [the Comcast connection], then it works. I suspect when the traffic tries to use WAN1, it doesn't.
Is all I need here a policy route such that any request to 10.1.10.1 gets routed through WAN2?
I have not had the need to use policy routes up to this point, so I don't even really know what they are for.

Yes, you will need a policy route to get to wan 2 if normally traffic goes through wan1. I do that for my email which comes from wan2.
Thank you so much Anav for the confirmation. I do appreciate it!
I am still learning all the features of these routers as I implement them.
Ever since I put that policy route in place, getting to the Comcast router has worked EVERY time, so I *assumed* I did the correct thing by putting that policy route in place, but I do appreciate you confirming that was the right action.
