Payday 2 Release..

Anyone playing it? Picked up the career criminals edition during beta and was able to play to level 30. The release seems to went pretty smooth, they've already released a few patches. Game play is addicting as hell. Seems to have gotten some pretty decent reviews, although I cannot compare it to the original as I never played Payday 1. Kind of surprised I didn't see a thread on the game being released Tuesday. I found the beta thread, but not much activity on it.

If anyone is playing it leave you steam name, maybe we can all create a group? Heists with randys is depressing.

I have read the reviews and they point that is pretty balanced, I am waiting on a steam sale to grab it.

Was thinking about picking this up. Anyone else enjoy it?

I picked it up. Played a few rounds. Definitely needs friends to play.

I never played the first one, but played the shit out of this one. Roommates and I got up to around level 70ish before we started getting burnt out on things. The safe house upgrade hasn't been implemented yet so after level 40 there really isn't anything to spend money on other than respecing. That the limited guns are the really only downside at the moment. I thought they'd have more high level heists but running the same ones over and over gets abit stale.

IT is a fun shooter though that's for sure, and I definitely got my money worth leveling up and playing with friends. The recent patch that upped the experience for multiple day heists really helped the game.

Regarding teamwork, let's just say it pays to have each person have a certain mastery of a skill set. So should try to Coordinate.

The different skills have different benefits (c4, chainsaw, ecm)

Yes, I think it's only available on Steam.

Out of curiosity, you've been on the PC gaming forum for a while, how did you manage to avoid Steam for this long?

I'm level 31 in this game. I was worried I wouldn't like it, but I'm starting to get addicted to the game. I'm very interested to see what the builds will allow for multi-day heists, stealth runs, etc.

It is ok. It doesn't like Alt Tab plus no windowed borderless mode still.

Level 100 in Payday 2.

It's a good game, has a bit of a grind aspect to it, however when they release the higher difficulty it will be a MUCH harder game. Right now the game is fairly easy, however I come from playing Payday: The Heist, so I am well versed in how the game works.

The dev's have put out 10 patches in 2 weeks, adding/fixing things, which is an insane amount of things so quickly.

For 30$ you really can't go wrong with this game.

It's what I use for streaming(and every other streamer), but it will allow you to have what you want as well.

BTW feel free to add BKayrac to steam if you are competent and not completely awful at payday 2.

It's surprisingly hard to find decent teammates in pubs, and with the increased overkill difficulty, it should punish bad players now.

Nice leveling with you, glad you went mastermind, I think it makes the stealth missions easier where you have to subdue folks.

It's a must have, IMO. Glad Jobbie is enjoying it. I spent a lot of time working, so I couldn't be on as much this weekend. Did a little LoL time with the wife but that's about it.

We had a solid 3 hours of play, and got him up 20 levels 8-28.

We have diamond store stealth down pat, it's pretty easy... when it doesn't glitch.
We managed to stealth the end of the art museum frame a frame mission.
We somehow managed to finish a big oil... we almost stealthed the second part, and then I dunno how we managed to win it.

Some fails, but it happens.
