Last night I lost my saved programs but this morning I noticed they are back up.

How lovely. I was watching a recording of shark tank tonight, and all of a sudden the screen went blank, audio still playing. No guide would come up at all. Rebooted box (unplugging it). Nothing came up after the xfinity loading screen.

Ugh

Yep same thing here to. My regular Dvr and other stb's are fine though. So it's obviously an x1 outage.

Same thing here both went blank no audio no sound reboot does no good they gave me a X1 box and the slave box for bedroom so I have nothing at all to watch...

You can add me to this "outage". second day and i'm not impressed. STILL not able to view ANY VOD as everything still has the "COMING SOON" Message. Now my box in my bedroom doesn't work.

how often does this happen just had it installed today kind of odd on my account screen online it only shows the voice and internet. They say they can see my boxes when I was doing live chat hour ago got disconnected been waiting for 45 minutes to connect again and the hold on the phone is pushing an hour

This is the first time there has been an outage like this since I got mine in August I would say. Either August or late July.

had it 2 months .has been buggy from the start.this is the 2nd total outage.it's just not ready for primetime.

now you call Comcast and it says party not answering they dropped our call after a 90 minute hold. This is crazy X1 is supposed to be the same tv just different box

and my internet is still working like a champ although the 50 meg internet I am paying for downloads at 11....

Purchase your own router and have them put the thing into bridge mode. You're speeds will improve.

how much will speeds improve? is that why my cell phone drops calls on wifi even 10 feet from modem?

Nobody can tell you how much it will improve. But if you really want to take full advantage of the 50mbps speed you'll need a 5.0ghz router. I have a dual band router and the 2.4ghz network tops out at about 40mbps. The 5.0ghz network gives me the full speed. And I actually get about 65mbps on the 50mbps tier.

The Comcast provided all in one gateway's completely suck. Get it replaced with just a modem, or a modem + phone combo without the built in router/wifi and then get your own router.
