| [TW] Switching from TWC to EL without premises visit: Hi,
TWC recently hiked my rates by almost a third, and it's too much ($54/mo total for 15 Mbps, but lower is only 3 MBps). A 3rd party reseller (dsl.com) told me EL can do $30/mo for 6 months and 42 thereafter (+taxes and fees). They also told me TWC told them TWC can switch me over without coming to my apartment, and he seemed to think I wouldn't have to rotate modems either. Has anyone had experience with a switch like this? It makes me nervous because I could see TWC switching me to EL then cutting me off when my TWC term ends, and the 3rd party deal makes me nervous anyway.

P.S. I think TWC won't match the deal because I'll be moving out of here in 10 months, so I can't do a contract. |
