Some questions about CEO head Les Mooves/CBS:

1.) Should he lose his job over the blackout? TV is a public trust. CBS is an OTA channel and is a part of that public trust. CBS should be paying TWC, not the other way around.

2.) Is CBS breaking any laws by withholding it's channels in New York, Dallas, and Los Angeles markets, or any others?

3.) When a deal is proposed, even though both sides have lawyers and consultants, is the ultimate decision to return Showtime and CBS to TWC, Mr. Moonves' decision and his alone?

No laws are being broken. CBS is doing it's part in fulfilling it's obligation of transmitting their OTA signal as it always has. It is their content and they can hold it from a company be it Netflix, time warner or AT&T.

I'd like to see Netflix or Hulu take up the challenge of IPTV and offer live channels as a way to offer another alternative to cable and a move to unify TV, Phone & Internet into one pipe. However, pissing contests started by providers like CBS can only hurt this effort.

BTW this doesn't stop TW from doing this themselves and if broadband can do IPTV TW can sell its TV service in areas with internet services the same as Netflix can. That's when the real competition begins.

P.S.: I have FiOS.
