You need to tell them more about what you need. There are a lot of boards out there, and a lot of 1150s have been made, but how can anyone know what you need, you don't tell folks anything about the use. Here ya go, pick one: » www.newegg.com/Product/P ··· 3A411678 |

You are sure it is your motherboard and not something else? If you aren't sure maybe it would be better if you tell us what troubleshooting you went through to confirm that it is the motherboard. Which specific i5 cpu model do you have? |

Oh sorry. Made it a bit too generic! I have an i5 second gen. |

Second generation sandy bridge is a different socket. You can't run it on an 1150 motherboard.
Can you give the specific model number so we can confirm. For example is it a 2500k , 2450p etc? |

If you aren't sure run cpuz and post a screenshot of the first cpu tab in cpuz » www.cpuid.com/softwares/ ··· #gallery |

Was this a big name brand machine? If so can you tell us what brand and model of computer? If you built it yourself do you know the brand and model of motherboard? |

You can identify which processor it is by the code printed on the top of the CPU. Either post a photo or identify it with this: » www.intel.com/support/pr ··· 6552.htmFind the sSpec number and search for it here: » ark.intel.com/products/f ··· /desktop |

Can you please list the part number for the motherboard you have that is dead? Look inside the machine, it should be listed near the ram slots or the pci-ex slots so we can be certain of what type of CPU you have. That way we can give the correct advice. |
