Re: [Outages] Report 21/08/2013 14h42Slow speed issues discussed in detail here: » Re: [Cable] Slow speeds on rCableFor the regional problems, could you please post the first three digits of some of the postal codes effected. I believe it would greatly assist customers in determining if they are in effected areas, or if they have problems specific to their connection. Hey Martin, do you know if Cogeco plans on adding more upload channels to places like Chatham and Peterborough so we could experience this "10 upload?" Currently only 1 channel available. Perhaps this is what they are working on.. |

Did Rogers swap out your 10GigE circuits and install 1200 baud modems again? They really have to stop doing that. |

I'm also having major issues with slow speed in Welland, ON. It's been happening since yesterday morning, at least that's when we first noticed it. Speedtest.net returns full speed that I pay for, 20 down, 2 up, ping is great at 37, but some websites will take forever to begin to load, and some won't load at all. I measured google.ca as taking 37 seconds once. I've been through all troubleshooting imaginable including connecting my laptop directly to the modem after rebooting the modem and leaving it unplugged to cool off for about 5 minutes. Still having the issue. Performance was amazing for the first few weeks of service, just been agonizingly slow these past few days. Any news? |

And so far so good, seems it was resolved about an hour ago! Lost internet for about 5 minutes, and it came back strong! |

Looks like a breif DNS issue came and went. |
|

I felt that here in London too. Wasn't 100% sure if it was DNS or a total outage. Maybe rogers making their fix more permanent? |

The OP reads: "Most of our shit doesn't work, and what little that does is slow as molasses in January". I feel bad for TSI. When it rains it's hurricane material over there. Man oh man. Mike |

A friend of mine who lives in the M6C area reporting the same problem, she is ready to cancel... Any update??? » maps.google.ca/maps?q=M6 ··· t=m&z=13 |

I'm in the M6K area. No net for 6 days so far. Wondering why Rogers hasn't fixed the problem yet or didn't have some kind of backup plan if what they did went wrong? » maps.google.ca/maps?q=m6 ··· t=m&z=13 |

I'm on M5G post code in bay/college area and I can't get an IP from DHCP on my cable modem since 8PM last night. There's so many outages I have no idea if I am being affected by one or not. :/ |

have you been without internet for 3 weeks? is there a work around of any sort?.... I think I would have cancelled by then |
|

I was without internet for about half of the time. it's on and off, I'm very close to doing so slvrsi. |

I put in a ticket to find out if I'm in an area affected by the outages and mentioned my symptoms which are the same as everyone else, can't get a public IP from rogers dhcp, and the person replied instead with a huge useless troubleshooting checklist. -_-
Sigh. So frustrating. Teksavvy is fast becoming an isp of the type that "if it works, great, if it doesn't, don't bother trying to find out why or when it will be resolved because you'll be given the runaround until the outage is over".
Every time I've had an outage on Teksavvy without fail it's been the same old mantra "Rogers' fault, we don't know anything, we can't tell you an ETA, we can't do anything" with the occasional "let's troubleshoot" red herring to try and keep you preoccupied.
There's literally nothing we as paying customers can do to better our situation one iota when these outages occur except sit in the dark and wait. There's got to be a better way to run a business. |
